Self publishing has taught me a thing or two. The usual things like self motivation, perseverance, coffee IV is a must, having faith that you can do it, blah blah blah. Then came the things that I did not know. Like how important reviews are.
I used to not leave any sort of review or rating even if I thought the book was the best thing ever written. I used to think "Who reads 'em anyway? Why waste five minutes?" but now? Now I review like crazy for pretty much every book I read ESPECIALLY if they're by self published authors. Ratings and reviews get you on certain lists that promote your book for you. They're highly crucial to the published book's success. Ever since I've discovered that little piece of information, I've tried to always leave a review and rating on Amazon because people really DO read them and the author's need them. So review, review, review.
Until next time!
