These first few days have been something else. I hit the "publish" button not knowing what would happen, not knowing how different things would work out, and with my stomach was doing double flips.
For two days now, I've had the right to call myself a "published author", and in those two days, different and phenomenal things have happened. I have six reviews on Amazon right now (which is a huge deal in the book world) and many, many people have bought "The Seven Thrones" to enjoy. Here's what people are saying...
"Ms. Petersen's skillful use of language allowed me to picture the thrones and the setting."
"I look forward to reading the next book."
"There is excitement, drama, humor, romance, mystery, and plenty of magic to keep this story exciting and fun."
I'm in a sort of state of shock. People are saying that about MY book on Amazon.com. How amazing is that? Something that started out as a school project has turned into something that I didn't think I would be really able to do. There's something else too. Amazon ranks books and here's where I'm standing compared to the "Harry Potter" series (fantastic books by the way)
Here are the rankings this morning in the Children’s Fantasy Swords and Sorcery category:
1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
6. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
7. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
26. The Seven Thrones
God has done this. That's all there is to it. His hands made this possibility a reality.
Here's what YOU can do:
If you haven't bought the book yet, I will provide a button that will take you straight to where it is on the Amazon website. If you enjoyed it, I'd love to hear from you with a ranking and a review on Amazon. You have no idea how much those reviews help me and YOU are the only one who can provide that. So please. Enjoy the world I spun out of my thoughts and poured my heart into. Please let my words and my characters take you on a journey that you've never experienced before. Let them take you away to another world while you sit comfortably in your chair at home. Let me tell you a story.
