Whoa... Okay... deep breath... I have officially finished the rough draft of my first novel. I'm sort of in shock right now... knowing that after six months of hard work I've finished. I've written "The End". Now what?
Well, it may be the end of the book, but it is not the end of the series. I still have two more books to write. (thank goodness, or I'd go insane) However, before I can get to those books, I have to go through the editing and then self publishing process.
Last night, I could not sleep. All I could think about was that "tomorrow is the day... the big day..." I wondered how I would feel. Now I know. I cannot describe it. I'm a jumbled up mess of nerves, excitement, sorrow, and ecstasy. When I knew I was on the last page, I half laughed and half cried.
I read a blog post last night describing how another author survived the days after finishing up her first book.

I'm going to follow her advice. Or try to.
